Using MOVEit Transfer Ad Hoc module to send files
The Ad-Hoc module is configured by an organisation administrator through the settings screen:
The “Unregistered Senders” link allows you to permit trading partners to self-register on your MOVEit system to send packages to your users. This is a great opportunity to reduce administration overheads by allowing end-users to perform self-management, and as they need to know the email address of a recipient in order to register, there is no security hole. You may also limit self-registration based upon the end-users email domain.
Most of the rest of the configuration can be left as standard, however it’s a good idea to set the Ageing and Expiration policy yourself:
These settings for example will allow you to keep the size of your system down to a reasonable level, while still providing the ability to recover old packages (note that archiving will not preserve files attached to packages).
